Services in the growth market of C&E Europe For ThyssenKrupp Services, C&E Europe is a most inviting growth market in which since the 90s it has been pursuing a most successful expansion strategy. In fact, this Services segment of the ThyssenKrupp Group is meanwhile leader in many sectors. Limberg: “We will continue to flexibly address the dynamic markets of C&E Europe and expand our distribution networks in the interests of our customers. We are repeatedly fine-tuning our product lineup, warehousing facilities and services range. Our goal is quite clear: the best in materials availability, logistics, and services!” In the Polish city of Dabrowa Gornicza in 2006, C&E Europe’s biggest warehouse, logistics and processing center of its kind was opened.

wire Tube 2006 Final Reportwire and Tube sectors booming: record turnout results – exhibitors highly satisfied with excellent business deals! Düsseldorf, 28 April 2006 Summing up the results of five days in Düsseldorf, a pleased Dr. Gunther Voswinckel, Chairman of the Board of Otto Junker GmbH Simmerath, said: "The high calibre of wire and Tube is the basis for many good contacts made in Düsseldorf; this is where the international industry comes together and scarcely no-one can afford to miss Düsseldorf. Many talks at Tube with numerous producers have given us ideas and suggestions for improvements and new developments." And this feeling was also largely shared by the 1,933 exhibitors from 50 countries coming to Düsseldorf to showcase their ranges at the exhibition halls of the two No. 1 trade fairs wire, the International Wire and Cable Trade Fair and Tube, the International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair held from 24 to 28 April 2006: high spirits prevailed amongst both wire and wire-working enterprises and tube and pipe manufacturers. They gave the trade fairs top scores anticipating good after-show business. "The excellent results of wire and Tube underline the worldwide importance of these two No. 1 trade fairs for the wire, cable and pipe manufacturing industries," said Wilhelm Niedergöker, Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. Delighted at the results he added: "Exhibitors and visitors to the fair voiced their enthusiasm about the fair and reported on new, interesting and promising business contacts." The buoyant mood prevailing throughout the halls of the exhibition was also reflected in visitors’ assessment of the fairs: 99% rated wire and Tube as excellent. Together, 65,000 trade visitors came to Düsseldorf over the five days of the exhibition – approximately 4,000 more than attended the previous events in 2004. The truly international provenance of both exhibitors and visitors ensured international business contacts were made in all segments. At wire just under 60% of visitors came from abroad and at Tube the figure was over 50%. The manufacturers of wire and wire-working machines, supply materials, special wires and cables as well as the producers of process engineering tools, in particular, were satisfied with how the trade fair went. "We had many very good conversations and the visitors’ decision-making competence was even higher at our stand than at the previous event," said Harald Rödl, Regional Sales Manager of NME National Machinery Europe GmbH. Visitors from 71 countries came to wire while Tube registered trade visitors from 64 nations. Altogether visitors from 84 states attended the two sectors’ foremost trade fairs on the Rhine. As is traditionally the case, wire received many visits from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, the USA and Asia (primarily from China and India) while most Tube visitors came from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain, the Americas and Asia. Visitors to wire 2006 were particularly interested in wire and wire-working machinery and equipment, process engineering tools, upstream supplies, special wires and cables. wire visitors primarily came from sectors of industry (80%) or were specialised technical dealers (5%) or skilled craftsmen (4%). At Tube visitor interest focused on tubes, pipes and accessories alongside tube and pipe manufacturing, working and machining equipment. Raw materials were also in demand. 60% of Tube visitors came from the industry, 24% from the trade and 5% from skilled crafts. April 2008 will see the No. 1 trade fairs wire and Tube held concurrently for the 11th time at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.
